I bought this set for my grandson for Christmas. I had compared prices at several different websites and also in Christian bookstores in my area. Yours was the best price. These books will last a lifetime - and he can pass them down to his children. Beautiful covers have awesome art work. I would say purchase these as an addition to your library.

This is an amazingly fun and hopeful set of books! I still love them even at my age - don't ask I'm not telling but my well worn and much loved childhood box set still sets in my library! ;)
My half star ding is for the publisher and the book order. If this is your or your child's first exposure to these books I recommend they be read in published order not chronological order, at least where the two books "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" (published 1st) and "The Magician's Nephew" (published 6th) are concerned. The reason is simple, secrets that are revealed in "The Magician's Nephew" lose their coolness factor if you discover them before you read the story of "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe". There is a big difference between the joy (and fun) of discovering new details about old friends (those you thought were so familiar) and learning about people and things you have never met and don't care about.

These are books that I have read and enjoyed since my childhood. I lost my books when I moved, but now that I re-purchased them I fell in love with the stories all over again! It's entertaining for children as well as adults! C.S. Lewis is one of my favorite authors! The man had a knack for storytelling. NARNIA brims with incredible stories, settings, and characters. These books are truly fantasy, but non-fans of that genre won't even blink. Lewis writes in a way that will captivate the wide-eyed child and bring back the wonder for an older reader too. The thing I remember most about this series is that it is almost sad in the end. Not because evil won, or any of the main characters died, but because the adventure ended when the final page was turned. Each book in this series has it's own beginning and end, but all are tied together, the circle being completed with The Last Battle. I recommend that you take a trip through the wardrobe, and see what is on the other side!

I remember my grade one teacher reading the class The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. It stayed with me for 15 years and then one day to my wonder I found out it was part of a larger series. I have loved it ever since! That first set is now completely worn out by my own children.

A beautiful set of books. My husband gave them to me for Christmas last year and these will definitely become a family heirloom. I wish I had read these as a child. But it does not matter, these stories are ageless. Enjoy them as a child, or as an adult. C. S. Lewis is by far my favorite Christian author. If you haven't read these yet, you must do so immediately! Great stories, and much more.
